what is software ?
Software एक तरह का निर्देशों का set होता है जो किसी task को करने के लिए program या data का इस्तेमाल करता है। ये hardware से अलग होता है, hardware computer के physical (भौतिक) पहलुओं को बताता है जैसे keyboard, mouse, monitor etc. जबकि software एक ऐसा term होता है जिसका कोई physical structure नहीं होता है।Software की एक additional category भी होती है 'utility' जो की एक छोटा लेकिन काम का program होता है। कुछ utility operating system के साथ आती है। applications की ही तरह utlity को भी आसानी से system में install कर सकते हैं और जब चाहे तब इस्तेमाल भी कर सकते हैं। Softwares को vendor websites या Service providers के पास से download करके इस्तेमाल कर सकते हैं।
Computer software
Computer Software को computer program भी कह सकते है। Software programs, applications, scripts, और instructions सब कुछ Computer software category के अंदर ही आते हैं। इसलिए computer में नया program install करना, नए software install करने जैसा ही है।Software में computer programmer द्वारा लिखे बहुत सारे codes होते हैं जो मिलकर एक computer program बनाते हैं। जब Software programs install किये जाते हैं तो वो computer की hard disk में binary data के तौर पर store होते हैं।
